Guest Requests With Deadlines, DND and Webhooks
Track hotel guest requests like towels or DND against a deadline, escalate overdue ones, remember preferences and notify other systems by webhook.
A cot, towels, an iron, a pillow, water, "clean now", "come after four": each is a request type from your own catalogue.
Requests arrive by call, message, the desk or the phone app. Each records where it came from, who owns it and when it is due.
Every open item has a deadline
The system checks every minute for anything late:
- A request whose due time has gone.
- A visit running beyond one and a half times its target.
- A room handed out an hour back but not yet accepted.
- A repair waiting on its recheck.
Each is flagged once as a warning, then overdue, then escalated. Escalation follows your own chain: supervisor, executive housekeeper, then manager.
Do not disturb
DND is a request that expires at a set time. The board passes over the room until then and offers a clean once it has passed.
Guests are remembered
A guest who wanted a firm pillow in March gets one offered in October. Preferences captured from requests stay on the guest profile across your group.
Telling other systems
A webhook subscribes to room events with an address, a secret key and the event types you pick. Each matching event is sent signed, and the result is logged. Guest messaging tools, owner dashboards or outside maintenance firms stay informed without polling.
