Forecast Room Ready Times and Get Hourly Suggestions
Forecast when each room will be ready using past cleaning times, spot arrivals at risk, plan store reorders and get an hourly suggestion to act on.
No hype: the first forecasting model takes the median.
How long will this room take?
The system looks at the last ninety days of history for this attendant, this visit type and this room type, and takes the median. With too little data it falls back to visit type plus room type, then visit type alone, then the target time.
- Next to each estimate you see how many cleans it is based on, for example "from 41 cleans".
- Every room's expected ready time appears on the board.
- If an arrival is due before the room should be ready, it turns amber an hour ahead.
What should you do next?
Each hour the forecast runs again and is saved. When a change would clear a room from the at-risk list, such as bumping the arriving guest's room higher or giving it to an attendant who is ahead, you see a one-line suggestion. Your supervisor decides whether to act on it.
Planning the week's stock
- Usage over the past 30 days gives a rate per room serviced for each item issued. For linen, the rate is per checkout and per stay-over.
- Your staffing forecast supplies each coming day's checkouts and stay-overs.
- Multiplying the two gives the need, and comparing that with stock on hand gives days of cover.
- Reorder advice is written for whoever places the orders.
