Checkout, Stay-Over, Turndown and Deep Clean Rules
Set housekeeping cleaning types with checklists, and let rules choose each morning which clean every room needs and record the reason.
Not every visit is the same job. A checkout clean might take forty minutes, a light stay-over twelve, a deep clean most of a morning and a turndown about five minutes in the evening.
Each one is a service type that belongs to your hotel. You can rename it, retime it or change its credits. They are set up from a standard list the first time you need them.
What goes into each clean
- Every service type carries its own checklist: bathroom, bed, surfaces, minibar, amenities, balcony.
- Attendants tick items off on the phone, and supervisors inspect against the same list.
- The SOP for each checklist line is stored right next to it.
How the right clean is chosen
When the day opens, rules decide each room's visit. For example:
- Departures get a checkout clean.
- Night three of a stay gets a full clean, not a light one.
- A room empty for four days gets a deep clean.
- VIP rooms get a turndown.
The deciding rule is saved on the visit, so you can always answer "why was 304 only given a light clean?".
Good to know
Assignment, priority, deadlines and escalation in later stages use this same rules table. Your housekeeping policy lives in one place.
