Business Date Control and Night Audit Reversal
Your business date stays under control: the night audit cannot close a day before your hotel's midnight, and the last close can be reversed.
Your books stay on the right day. The business date follows your hotel, not the calendar on a laptop or a server in another time zone.
How it works
- Your day ends when you decide, in your hotel's own time zone.
- Once a day is closed, nothing can be posted into it.
- A stay cannot be shifted to before your business date.
- A central reservations agent booking you from another city works on your date, not theirs.
Why it matters
Close a day early and every posting on it is a night no guest has slept yet. So if anyone runs the audit before your day is over, it stops and says plainly that the day has not finished.
Can you undo a close?
Yes. Your administrator can reverse the hotel's most recent audit: its postings are reversed, the date steps back, and the log records the user and the reason. Then you rerun it on the correct facts.
Good to know
A missed audit never goes unnoticed. If a timer fails or an audit cannot finish, you are told rather than left in the dark.
