Coming Next in Hotel Accounting
The hotel accounting roadmap: intercompany posting, multi-book and leases, bill OCR, plain-language questions and approvals on one workflow.
We list these so every other page about Hotel Accounting can be taken at face value. All the rest is live today. The items below are held back on purpose, not for lack of effort.
Posting between your own companies
A deal between two group companies posted as a pair of connected journals, each in its own entity, with an approved elimination journal at consolidation. The groundwork is done: no journal crosses two entities, receivable and payable accounts between companies already exist, and consolidation shows an eliminations column. Posting will be built once a customer with two legal entities can prove it.
Multiple books and leases
Parallel statutory, IFRS and management books, 4-4-5 calendars and IFRS 16 leases, once a customer needs to report to a second accounting standard.
Bill OCR and plain-language questions
- Reading a vendor bill from a photo
- Asking your books a question in everyday words
Both would use a model API, and neither would post anything by itself. The rules that will check their output are already live.
Moving approvals onto one workflow
Earlier features still carry their own "approved by" fields, on write-offs, refunds and credit overrides. Each will move onto the shared approval workflow as it is next worked on.
